Catch Les Miserables at Queen’s Theatre London

Tired of the boredom and monotony of your life, take a break and enjoy a world class theatrical at the Queen’s Theatre London. The venue has a historic presence that goes beyond a decade and has been a witness to many significant happenings of past. It was built as a twin to the hicks Theatre and both the structures were designed by the notable theatre architect W.G.R. Sprague.

The house opened on 8th October 1907, ten months later than its twin. The initial plans were to name the theatre as Central Theatre but following a long discussion it was named the Queen’s Theatre and a portrait of Queen Alexandria was hanged on its foyer. The venue was badly damaged in the 1939 German bombings; the building was closed for over two decades and was restored spending £250,000.

The Queen’s Theatre London is at present home to Les Miserables, the world’s longest running musical. The piece has been running here since 2004 and has enjoyed a record breaking run. The show transports audiences to nineteenth century Paris and makes them a witness for an ongoing revolution to overthrow anarchy.
